Is Reading Time Again!

(this is the Copy that i bought...paperback at RM29)

I remember not long ago I mentioned in my blog about this book named as "Kira-kira" by Cynthia Kadohata. Well, I gotten myself another book by her at Borders again yesterday..."Weedflower".

(this is the hardcopy type - the price is about doubled the paperback copy)

Hmm....sort of like this author's book very much after reading the 1st book i bought & started to look into more of her work. Ahha! Apparently there are four (4) more books that i should grab.

a) The Floating World
b) The Glass Mountain
c) In The Heart of The Valley of Love
d) Cracker! The Best Dog in Vietnam

I'm quite surprised that these books only came now to Malaysia market after so long they have been published. Those copy available now at the bookstores are the re-print of the original book....Sometimes, it is kinda slow for Malaysians to accept certain books. Especially Asian writters that wrote good english books.Personally, I like few of the Asian writters...regardless they written in English or Mandarin...& two that i like most are Cynthia & a writter from China - Adeline Yen Mah whom i got to know about her works via Shirley.

Well, my so call wish list on coming books....

a) The finale of Harry Potter (romours been spreading around saying it will be out in 2007...i wonder)
b) The Series of Unfortunate Event (a complete set....gosh! very expensive....)
c) The four books by Cynthia Kadohata that i've mentioned above
d) For One More Day by Mitch Albom (another great writter)

Hey, prediction said J K Rowling masterpiece will be out on Spring, unsure about its accuracy. You should come down to UK and witness how "mad" people are, reading in the bookstores :)
