Local road & highways Condition 10days after Toll fee increase...

I'm writting this after my 10days observation as a road user as well as self initiative case study on the traffic trend for future usage on my job. Belows are some results based on Kesas & LDP (personally i dont like the change...) arrgghh! what to do...

Local road VS Highways/toll roads

1) Local road - Whole stretch of Jalan Kelang Lama & Jalan Puchong, traffic jam started as early as 6.40am. Reason....most of the Puchong residents are avoiding paying extra for Puchong & Awan Besar toll.

My Personal encounter :After 1 Jan 2007, almost every morning, i spent atleast 45mins to reach PJ state from the starting point at the traffic light infront of Old Klang Road balai polis. Compared with before 1 Jan 2007, i took only about 20-25mins. Dont mention about after work, WORST!!! it took me 1hr 30mins on this stretch which is less than 10km.

2) Another local road - The link road from Puchong to Astro office....bumper to bumper until an extend of "standstill" situation for hours & more accidents have been reported due to unpatient drivers trying to overtake & driving through the emergency lane.

Ahha! what about toll roads?????

1) LDP highway - It used to be very bad traffic before & after paying toll at "Sunway Toll" regardless in the morning or after work...now, most people that willing to pay more will have a smoother traffic all the way home & no complaints like "after paying toll still jam like hell, why pay!"

My Personal encouter : LDP traffic jam normally from 5pm onwards up to 830pm or more.Few days back i travelled with Pooi Fern & Gary in their car headed to D'sara around 8pm...guess what?? the traffic was superb...i can have a car race there oh!

One of my colleague's encouter : She used to spend about an hour or more on the road pick her daughter at Assunta School & headed back to Puchong via LDP...now her travelling time using the same route shorten by 20-25mins....Amazing rite???

Well, guys & gals....it's now depend on u all which u prefer.....pay a bit more & save up valuable time to do more things....or in the other hand....stick to the jam for hours at local roads & make a big fuss after that....for me?? hehe....i've made my choice clear. I valued time more than money.... ;p

Oya....personal advice....stuck in the jam on local road may have prevent u from paying extra on tolls, but some local roads may take longer distance which eventually will take up ur fuel consumption or engine overheat....u might ended up korek more from ur pocket to pay for these unnecessary hidden costs.

So, drive safely, choose wisely & save wisely...

It's quite dreadful. Here, there's no toll but missing the PLUS R&R badly. I think the public must do some lobbying about the toll issue tenaciously.OMG,missing my car as well! :)

haha...i guess u wont miss ur car if the public transport is as good as places like Japan, Hong Kong & S'pore.
If Malaysia's public transport as good, i'll not hesitate of taking them rather driving & cursing in the car..hahaha
